Oh ! its Chingam
.Malayalis everywhere are happy and in a joyful mood. Its time for
attapookalam for children. Onam is our
state festival.Tasty sadya THE FEAST and
payasam are enriching , mind blowing.
Attam begins the preparation for pookalam . Now it has become a competition
!!!!!!! It starts with one flower as days pass on we will have ten different varieties of flowers on the last day
Thiruvonam.
On Thiruvonam
day King Mahabali would visit our land to see how prosper we are. At that time
everyone will bow before Him. We are reminded
of the story of Vamana and Bali .
We enjoy these days with a lot of fun and joy, games
and songs. At the end of Onam holiday we the children become sad . We are awaiting the next Onam holidays.

Is a journey
of happiness

Rise and setting of sea
Is in the horizon
Fishers have
sacrificed their lives
To the sea

Happiness of sea mother
Is the
happiness of the sons
Sadness of sea mother
Is the sadness of sea
Real voice of the sea
Is the voice of fishermen.
