A TRIP TO KODAIKANAL

ACHYUTH J M
                                     TO KODAIKANAL ...............
I was thrilled to enjoy my trip to Kodaikanal. Having packed my belongings, tour bag was ready. The joy of the trip had suddenly caught my veins.

It took less than an hour for me to reach Gandhibhavan from my home, around evening six thirty. We set off from there at eight.

Early morning we saw ourselves in hotel GPS, Kodaikkanal at 7.15. After breakfast at morning eight forty-five, we reached BearShola at nine forty-five. We were cautioned by two people that there was bison and it was not good to go there that time. So both our Pradeep Uncles went in search of bison. We returned. On the way to the bus MuruganSir introduced us a cute flower called Dancing girl. We also saw monkeys in action, there. We took a few photos.

Our next destination was Moirpoint. What a splendid experience of floating along with the clouds!!!!Let me confess I could only walk with them. Pranks of monkeys – one was seen looking something from a motorbike.

A more pranks of monkeys were in store for us on the way. While returning, we stopped by the woods- a pine forest. Our next leg at Pillar rocks gave a feast of huge rock. Guna caves was another destination. We also saw Suicide point where thousands of people opted to lose their lives by themselves. Sometimes later we had our lunch.

From there, we were taken to Coakers walk, at 3. We got an opportunity to use gun. We aimed and shot. Anna Botanical Garden was yet another experience with nature. We had a lovely ride by cycle around a lake. We went back our room at six.

We had a sound sleep after dinner ..............

Our next day started at six thirty and our exploration started at seven thirty. Though we had only a glimpse of Silver Cascade Waterfall, it was worthy. After breakfast at eleven ,we entered Melppalam ,a part of Kerala at one ten. We had our lunch.

Our bus stopped at Palakkad Fort. We had a feast of stone carvings and stone creations in Malmpuzha Rock Garden. We saw how waste materials can be turned into creative art. We visited snake rehabilitation centre, where we saw different types of snakes leaving us curious, afraid and gasping. We also made our way to Malmpuzha Dam. The dam site, park and all were fulfilled with joy and funfilled.

MalampuzhaYakshi  a sculpture of Ghost , a marvelous creation of Kanaai Kunhiraman held our breath. Time flies there, for sure.

After having food from NourJahan Hotel, we took the inevitable journey back home, wiser with experiences and sweet memories.
